Letter from Mrs. S. Johnson to her sister in Connnecticut describing wagon trip, 8 Apr.-3 May 1834, from Edgefield, S.C. to Ohio, with stops at Bushy Creek, Greenville, and elsewhere in S.C., followed by discussion of her travels through North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio. Topics discussed include accomdations at various public houses, and the towns and landscapes encountered en route, including Tennessee, where the party "...passed Little Mountain (not so little either)..." Other persons mentioned include Brother Samuel of Milan, Ohio, from whose home the letter was written, and "old Mother Benson," who relocated to Ohio with the Johnson family.
